Background:

Becky Cheung

After graduating from Nanyang Polytechnic back in 2008, I have worked across various industries and each experience shaping how I approach work and relationships. I started from an intern and assistant role and gradually given more responsbiliy as the years go on. I had spent some years working both in Hong Kong and in Singapore. My background was mainly in sales in marketing and I come from a home mainly filled with educators.

These days, I run a humble business I formally started in 2021, something that is more sustainable. I am working on an educational project for students and that is something close to my heart that draws on my past experience in mentoring. I am always open to connecting with like-minded professionals.

Mentoring Experience

2007: Started as an observer and I was glad to see how everyday individuals can contribute to grassroots projects that help the residents. Spearheaded the mentoring group with the hope to help younger peers with the focus on both academic assistance and character development. Glad to meet wonderful volunteers and be invited to grassroots events including the National Day Rally 2009 and New Year Party in the Istana in 2009 hosted by the Prime Minister and his cabinet.

2006: BP is a British multinational oil and gas company headquartered in London, operating across exploration, production, refining, and renewable energy. I was a mentor for students in Yishun Secondary School and I used to help them weekly with school work and other acitivites.

Grateful List:

I am also grateful for freelancers that I have contacted and worked with on project basis to make these site possble as well as help from Ai and other resources online to make this possible.

Do note that: The knowledge I carry — even what feels deeply my own — is not really mine. It belongs to the collective: the minds I have learned from, the discussions I have been part of and I am greatful for that.

For that, I am also slowly making some of these resources free to benefit others to pay it forward.
